"He never told anybody to come back tomorrow." |
YOUR HISSY FIT can't change God. That bawl and squall you had a 2 am? Nope. He's still the same.
Pleading sometimes works, but only because He's softhearted. And He was that already, because He loves you.
But that accusation? The one where you said that He said then you replied? Yeah, He is truth and that's unchanging. God is completely flexible while being totally inflexible. He just flexes for the same reasons. He's either Santa Claus or the Incredible Hulk, only not green. Or in a red suit.
Although... Jees in a red suit. Chaka-chaka.
“For I am the LORD, I change not.” (Malachi 3:6)
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
He was crazy consistent on the earth. Well, first, when He was God at creation, He made like to beget like. There’s that. There are no whales giving birth to cows. But as the man from Nazareth, He healed all. D'ya get that? He never told anybody to come back tomorrow. Or pray first. Or do some Old Covenant law. That was His job.
He'd come to fulfill them so They could do away with them, which sounds like change but isn't because it was the plan, Stan. All would be saved. Whosoever called on the name of the Lord. All could be filled with the Holy Spirit. All can be healed. God opened wide His massive arms and embraced the while earth. Because when He made earth He intended it to prosper and ding ding ding ding ... He hasn't changed!
“His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.” (Psalms 91:4, TPT)
"But, Suzanne, what about all the chaos in the nations around the world and death and dying and awful things?" Let me turn your gaze for this answer to door #2. Behind door #2, we have the devil, aka stupidy-woopidty. Who was so dumb ... Are you ready for this?
"How stupid was he?" you ask in unison.
Why he was so stupid he thought he could use what God gave Him to take over the throne (Isaiah 14:13). He thought the God who is so consistent and all-powerful and all-knowing (A-L-L) wouldn't see or know and would ... would act different. But, no, folks! God never changes, so hell exists for the devil and his crew to be condemned, and heaven is ours for the asking, and we're back to those massive arms and eternal goodness and now Jees as King. There’s that.
“God does not respond to what we do; we respond to what God does. We’ve finally figured it out. Our lives get in step with God and all others by letting him set the pace, not by proudly or anxiously trying to run the parade.” (Romans 3:27 MSG)
“No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].” (1 Corinthians 10:13 AMP)
“Even if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things.” (1 John 3:20 BSB)
