Change

"We change our mindset to not think of and expect the failure of our belief in God, knowing God does not fail."

GOD DOES NOT condemn or act in spite. He is the God of righteousness, the God of justice. He cannot lie; He is truth, so His judgment is always fair. He is all-powerful (omnipotent), yet He did not use His power to defeat the devil outside of justice. He defeated the devil, yet He does not use His power (dunamis) nor His authority (exousia) to shut the devil up permanently. He gave His authority in the name of Jesus (hallowed be thy name) to the church, His children, thus we have the authority to command the devil to be silent, and God backs up His authority. But when God speaks, though the devil imitates Him to bring deception, God does not prevent him. Instead, He gives man wisdom and discernment to know what voice is speaking.

Jesus’ wounds provide our healing, yet men get sick because the devil and death continue to cause it in the earth. God can heal anyone of anything and is merciful and willing to do so. He delights to do so. But being able and willing does not prevent the sickness when men accept it as inevitable, as God’s will (though it isn’t His will). Or when lack the knowledge of the Word of God and any belief in God’s faithfulness keep us from taking a stand against injury, sickness, disease, and calamity. God’s not speaking and not acting are not any indication of His unwillingness to protect and heal and prosper. God is faithful and unchanging. What He has said He will do, He will do.

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

It is our thinking, our reasoning, that leads us into error about Him, and error allows deception which continues the work of the enemy. Weariness and/or the closeness of heaven cause many to fall asleep. There is no condemnation from God for either one. He welcomes all who are His children into heaven. He is a loving Father. Can God heal instantly? Yes. But sometimes He does not because that person is not aware of healing and miracles, they believe incorrectly about the nature and willingness of God to heal, or they have no one in the body of Christ who prays for and encourages them. They remain in their weakness and lack of knowledge of Him and without the support of believers. Sometimes, the assault is sudden and they are unprepared; lack of knowledge works into this. We are not to fear sudden death but are, in fact, delivered from fear of death completely.

Salvation is eternal life during our physical life and past our physical death into eternity. Physical death is a doorway to forever with God and not an end of all things. Suffering in the Word of God does not include physical sickness or injury at God’s hand. Suffering is always through submission and obedience to the love of God in us. Lack of patience in us also causes and prolongs suffering. A man or woman using the patience given to them by God applies themselves to meditation of the promises in the Word and worship of God to remain in His healing presence. Through Him, we wait successfully. We wait beneath the protection of our revelation of God’s faithfulness to us, and He provides joy and peace in our believing in His goodness to us. These are the works of our time in waiting.

“Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.” (Psalms 119:68)

“Everything good, healthy and beneficial originates in heaven and comes down from the Father who created the universe. He is always good and will never alter his methods of love. He does not waver, and he is certainly not the source of darkness and death!” (James 1:17, Remedy)

We change our mindset to not think of and expect the failure of our belief in God, knowing God does not fail. We change our mindset to not expect defeat and not accept sickness, disease, injury, or poverty as our inevitable lot in life. We alter our thinking to expect the promises God has spoken over us when we continually believe in His faithfulness. We alter our thinking to see ourselves from God’s point-of-view, as seated in heavenly places, rejoicing with Jesus, our loving Father, and the Holy Spirit who lives within us. We see ourselves as healed, as well, as out-of-debt, as free of devil’s attempt to steal, kill, and destroy us, and we don’t allow fear of death or thoughts of death to consume us.

We keep the devil under Jesus’ authority in this way, not allowing condemnation or guilt to creep in as both are from the devil. We do not dwell on our sins, but repent, and place them under the blood by not thinking on them anymore. What God needs to speak to us, He will speak through people (relationships), through anointed preaching and teaching, through the Word of God, and in a multitude of other amazing ways. Nothing is outside of His use. His peace is His voice. His joy is found in prayer, in entertainment we enjoy, in habits or hobbies He has given us. We understand He speaks without sin and does not endorse sin, and so we live well, always humble to obey Him, always meek in our responses to others, always full of love and forgiveness for ourselves and for all men.

“Jesus said to her, ‘Daughter, you took a risk of faith, and now you’re healed and whole. Live well, live blessed! Be healed of your plague.’” (Mark 5:34 MSG)

“Do you want to be counted wise, to build a reputation for wisdom? Here’s what you do: Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It’s the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts.” (James 3:13 MSG)
