All God

"He can handle it."

IT SEEMS LIKE on every turn is some piece of bad news. Crimes, disasters, government troubles. And the church back in warfare mode. Stop! Stop behaving like that. Stop acting like devils. Romans 1 gives a curious example of this, which applies both to people and spirits. It is also written in James 1:14-15. What we do in a minor way soon becomes a huge excuse.

“Furthermore, since they abandoned and rejected the truth about God —the only solution capable of healing their minds—he gave them up to experience the consequence of rejecting truth, and their minds became filled with lies and were horribly depraved. They did evil and called it good, and they rejected goodness and called it foolishness.” (Romans 1:28, Remedy)

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:14-15)

Please see this: GOD IS PEACE. He is asking us to give up the fight that Jesus already won. He’s telling us to rest (Hebrews 4:10). HE CAN HANDLE IT ALL. He said this to me regarding mental health, but it applies to physical health. He is all we need. He should be our first call, our reaction and who we lean on automatically. Taking it deeper, if we’re walking in the Spirit, led of Him, then we won’t react the way devils do.

“For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” (Hebrews 4:10)

They want an argument. They have no rest (Matthew 12:43). But anger is not God, and anger always leads to violence. Unrest leads to fear, discouragement, depression, offense, criticism, and a dozen other negative things.

TURN THE TV OFF.

What you feed on – the news, news posts on social media, unChristian news talk – is what will affect your mood, your thoughts, and what will come out of your mouth. I have a very simple how-to I use. IF IT MAKES ME FEEL BAD, THEN I DON’T WATCH IT.

Defining feel bad: fear, discouragement, depression, offense, criticism, and a dozen other negative things. ANGER is not a good emotion. Some have said it is. It isn’t. And PLEASE don’t quote Ephesians 4:26 to me as an excuse for a brief spat of anger. Scroll down to Ephesians 4:31. “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.” Next verse. “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”

Ah. Love. (Insert birds chirping.) God is love … God is peace. God is merciful.

The Jews of the synagogue have a habit I love, and I was thinking today that everyone needs to adopt it. Whenever they hear good news, a testimony of healing, for example, they praise G_d. The Rebbe says, “Give thanks to Hashem, for He is good; His kindness endures forever.” Then those in the synagogue say, “Amen.” What if this became our response to things? What if we never worried about anything but praised Jesus, knowing HE CAN HANDLE IT. Too much of what we choose to do is because we’re not listening to God’s VOICE. We’re not listening, so we make our own decision that “seems right to us.”

God’s decisions ARE right. He knows all the facts, everything said, everything thought about by those involved, and has peace for us, even when it’s beyond our understanding (Philippians 4:7). It being beyond our understanding is the point. We need to go ALL GOD, who even said to PRAY FOR our enemies (Luke 6:28). We pray they have wisdom and revelation of God, wisdom from God, and pray for God’s peace to surround them.

Pray with the assurance of the Rebbes. They know God hears and He will do whatever they speak from Him. We in the church tend to leave a crack open, just in case, He doesn’t. They are confident of their covenant. We aren’t, but we should be. Because the God that fulfilled theirs, shed His blood for ours and is just as good, just as faithful. Just as beautiful.

What if we mirrored that with people?

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” (Luke 6:27-28)
