| "WHOSOEVER" |
ROMANS 14 says we should not judge others for how they eat nor for what days they worship. 1 Corinthians 12 says we should not judge others for being a hand or an eye or a foot. We are all one body. Romans 11 says we shouldn’t judge others for being a Jew or a Gentile. Galatians 3 expands this to include bond (servant) or free, male or female. And Matthew 5:44 puts a cap on it that we are to love our enemies.
Jesus died for WHOSOEVER. Everyone is whosoever. We pick each other apart for myriads of reasons. He wants UNITY. And unity means we stop picking. We change our perspective to be God’s, who knelt in the garden and prayed to His Father to not condemn Judas. Jesus loves that much. We’re all too willing to crucify people on the cross of politics and public opinion. We throw children under the bus, their lives worth little more than repetition. What can we train them to do?
“Oh, c’mon, Suzanne. You’re exaggerating.”
Children trained in wrong beliefs become violent adults who assault others, peoples, nations. Wrong beliefs in the church becomes wrong treatment of others. Of the Jews, for instance. Where did the Holocaust come from? What about Iran? I came across the most beautiful scenery of the hills of Iran. Acres and acres of poppies. Breathtaking. Though many had liked it, I did not. Who was the one who had posted it? It comes down to that. But, as I’ve already said, Jesus died for WHOSOEVER, and many, many inside Muslim countries, where the Bible is illegal, have found Christ. Many.
Many in Communist China, as well. Marilyn Hickey visited there and told of her furtive travels. There are those willing to take the risk. Sean Feucht of “Let Us Worship” has gone into dangerous countries, risking his life, as have many others. The list is long. Minister Kenneth Copeland gave away an airplane to those willing to rescue people from Afghanistan.
Why mention this here? Because we’ve made our dislike of others the center of our churches. It must stop. IF YOU KNEW JESUS. I will never stop saying this. I know Him. He speaks. And is nothing like the image the church teaches. He’s so very, very forgiving.
“In the churches of Judea, I was not known by anyone who loved and accepted Christ. They had only heard the report: ‘The man who used to persecute us is now proclaiming the good news that he once tried to destroy—the good news about God as revealed in Christ.’ And they rejoiced and praised God because of me.” (Galatians 1:22-24, Remedy)
