| "and the holiness of Him, accomplished all the Father had planned." |
ONE MAN’S holiness eradicated sin forever. Jesus is the holy Lamb of God. Holy. He is filled without measure with the Holy Spirit. Holy. Sin cannot exist in holiness. So there was Jesus in spirit, eternal life, holiness, between death and Resurrection, and sin could not stay in place in this world. Holiness erases death.
“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” (Ephesians 1:4)
When we are saved, we are made holy. Salvation makes us new creatures, clean in spirit, and living vessels of the Holy Spirit. We become His holy temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). Death cannot stay when we are saved, for we are made holy. I speak of spiritual death, although physical death as well. Jesus is alive. He is holy. He is heaven’s holy sacrifice, who laid down His life in obedience, and the holiness of Him, accomplished all the Father had planned. All of spiritual and physical law bowed to Jesus’ holiness. It had no choice. Holy Light drove back unholy darkness. It was no battle, no fight at all.
To think the holiness of God would have to war to win against unholiness as the end of death on this earth is a wrong perspective. And it is Christ’s perspective that pushes us over the troubles in front of us. Because He is holy and He is in us, we stand rested, peaceful. Saved.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1)
“The secret to real peace and contentment is an abiding trust in Christ—realizing that my strength comes from him; and through the peace, strength, wisdom and perspective that Christ gives me, I can handle whatever happens.” (Philippians 4:13, Remedy)
