Recreation

"Salvation is the supernatural recreation of our spirit man."

ONLY GOD knows the heart. He knows our every motive and reason (Hebrews 4:12). He knows our innermost thoughts. Nothing is concealed from Him.

He is merciful. It is His great mercy that sent Jesus to die and provide us with salvation.

Salvation is the supernatural recreation of our spirit man. God is Spirit (John 4:24). That is what He’s made of. We are made in His image and after His likeness (Genesis 1:24). When He breathed in Adam’s nostrils, Adam became a living soul (Genesis 2:7) When Adam sinned by doing what the serpent said, knowing God had told him not to (Genesis 2:17), then his spirit died.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

God is pure. He is holy. He has no sin and is not tempted by sin (James 1:13). Jesus did not sin (1 Peter 2:22) when He lived on the earth, and because He died physically without sin, as God, we can be saved from sin and the result of sin, death (Romans 8:3). When death had done all death could do, God’s life came into Him, and He is alive today. Life overcame death.

We’re talking spiritual life and spiritual death. This must be understood. Adam died spiritually but lived physically over 900 years. Jesus died physically but never died spiritually. His death accomplished many things at once. He fulfilled the Old Covenant, given to the Jews (Matthew 5:17). He shed blood to provide the New Covenant, God’s promise of salvation. He destroyed the devil (Hebrews 2:14), destroyed the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). He abolished death (2 Timothy 1:10). We no longer need to fear physical death (Hebrews 2:15). It is just a doorway to heaven. We no longer need to fear spiritual death because He has salvation.

It is not just making a vow. It is asking God to live inside us, to fill us, knowing because He will be there, He will RECREATE what is dead and make it new. You can’t undo new. There’s no going back to yesterday. You can’t be saved and unsaved, saved and lost. Some say this when they observe people’s behavior. But, as I said, God knows the heart, and in His mercy, He will not let go of anyone. He will not move out and abandon us to sin and death.

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5)
