Faithful.

"He always keeps His Word."

GOD NEVER CHANGES. Where we’re all over the place, He’s forever the same. We second guess ourselves. He never does.

I have found great comfort in that He knows me. I like I don’t have to explain anything and wonder if He understands me. No, He knows what happened better than I do. He knows my motives. What relief! He knows all things about me, without misunderstandings and errors. And loves me anyway.

We’re forever judging others, guessing at why they did what they did, and usually incorrectly. He knows Truth. He is Truth. What He says He means to do. He always keeps His Word. We let go of it, second guessing again. But if we can know He is faithful, truly know it, all the wars within will cease.

That is all we are fighting now.

Jesus has never sinned. This came to me in meditation upon Him. I heard the question, “Why did His death bring forgiveness of sin?” This answer must be known. Jesus was Son of Man. He died as Lamb, as Father, as Son in obedience, as King to show He went to the nth degree, and He was fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit, dead, so to speak, to all humanness. Why then would His death bring forgiveness? It is for that very reason. Because He didn’t sin. Sin holds no power over Him, so He can say we are forgiven. I plead with you to take hold of this and never let go.

For all He knows about us as individuals, for all He knows of my thoughts left unspoken, He still loves us enough to give all He is. Coming face-to-face with this will change you. A Rebbe (Hebrew for “Rabbi”) answered a young woman’s question, and it applies here. She asked him why G_d would give us pain. His answer set her free. Please see the Spirit speaking. These are covenant people. He is among them. The Rebbe replied to her that it is not that G_d gives us pain, but that there is pain, and there being pain around us, we step on it (his words). G_d, he told her, carries us through it and takes us out of it. What beautiful light shines there now.

Marriage, too, he called the holiest thing human beings are capable of. We need to see it this way. We must keep the work of G_d, His knowledge and character, personality and nature, as Highest of all. And see mercy in all of it.

Our definitions of “wrath” and “judgment” are incorrect. You can know when we see Him as “angry” that it is wrong. The King James Version, the thinking of those who translated it make for this wrong thinking, in great part. Though they did know kingdom, where we Americans do not, they also knew sin. Greed and unforgiveness played a huge part in the succession of kings of history. Those listed in the Word of God and those which were far in the future. There is no greed, no selfishness, in anything our loving Father and beautiful Savior, our tender Spirit do. None. No wrong thoughts, no selfishness, no favoritism. The faults we picture are the result of our ignorance. We must learn to see what we feel as what needs to be surrendered in humbleness to God. Forgiveness is ours from our sinless Savior, but repentance brings cleansing; and that action is ours to take. We confess our wrong doing, wrong thinking, and He gives us newness of life. Every single time.

For that is HOW He is. Forever faithful. Always the same.

“Don’t you believe that I am in complete unity with the Father—in mind, heart, attitude, character, method, disposition, principle and will—and the Father is in unity with me? The words I speak are not my own ideas or methods, but are the exact thoughts of my Father whose character and principles live in me. His work is being carried out through me.” (John 14:10, Remedy)
