For Realz

"Because we must stop making Jesus our images."

ONE SAID there is no judgment. Another, there is no joy. Joy is reserved for heaven. Jesus is Gentile to most. He is Jew only to others. He is King, yes. Many say so. And Savior, but without the Father. No Spirit either. You raise your brows. But John 16:13 is continually misinterpreted. The Holy Spirit is seen as eternity. As an essence.

When He is my Friend. We speak.

I’m not alone. Brandon Lake, of “Gratitude” fame, said to Pray, an interview site, he hears from Papa (my choice of word) and finds Him funny. He wrote a song, just released, that is accurate of Jesus. Most don’t know Him, he sings. Just as I have said. Jesus is humble, one of His people – Jew, Gentile, Hebrew worshipers, Christian worshipers. We’ve made him blue-eyed. They are brown. Fair skinned. But no. Point is, He looks like Second Century Jews. My grandpa saw Him before he died and told the family, “Jesus is beautiful,” something significant for him. That’s all I need. He doesn’t have to be like me.

I need Jesus’ Voice. Who is the Spirit, a Person with a personality. And the Father, who, to me, called Himself a wild nosehair. Here is where some would get defensive of such a statement and say, “I don’t care if you believe that.” But I do care. Because we must stop making Jesus our images. We must see Him for realz.

We must stop seeing Satan. What do I mean? He’s omnipresent in our talk. But he isn’t in real life. He’s been rendered useless. I’ve explained this, many times. The word “destroy” in Hebrews 2:14 means “rendered useless.” He’s nothing anymore and certainly, not everywhere at once. Please. Just stop speaking like that. And demons, I hate that word, unclean spirits or devils do exist, and there are many, I suppose. I have not been given a count. However, the Spirit knows them all by name, and yes, they had a name as angels. They don’t know it now. Nor believe Jesus. But point is, they are nothing we need to sing about.

Don’t do that anymore writers. Our every wrong thought has been made into a being speaking in our ear. In writing, this is called personification. We’ve done that, too, with spirit of fear, with “wicked spirit” and other similar terms. Those are just negativisms. The meaning of 2 Timothy 1:7 is God is never going to make you afraid. The meaning of Ephesians 6:12 is levels of thought, ending it what we worship.

We’ve taken the Holy Spirit out of it all. Our battle with the mind, the only place we battle post-Resurrection, has become our efforts when it is God’s in us. And some have also removed Him from the fruit of the Spirit. He is who works God’s fruit on the Vine, who is Jesus.

Who. Who. Who. God is a Person. The Spirit of God is a Person. And Jesus is a beautiful, smiling, laughing, joyful King who you will adore. I pray you hear Him.

“And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11)

“And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?” (Luke 2:48-49)

“Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.” (John 1:48-49)

“And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” (John 2:3-5)

“And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!” (John 11:34-36)

“And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:42-43)

“Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.” (John 21:7)

“And among the lampstands was one who appeared to be human, just like a Son of Man. He was wearing a robe flowing down to his feet and had a golden breastplate on his chest; his hair was brilliant white, like snow, and his eyes shone brightly like a fire. His feet glowed like metal in a furnace, and his voice resounded with energy like a roaring river … When I saw him, I fell down at his feet.” (Revelation 1:13-15, 17, Remedy)
