"There is no WHAT IF with Him."

GOD WILL do anything for you. Has done everything for you. He gave all of Himsef for us. But there are things He’s still doing, that He’s willing to do. And He’s said nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37), so what He wants to do, He will do, however it needs doing. He’s the God of the miraculous. There are so many examples. In the Word. In modern, daily life. I am alive and healthy, for one. The doctor looked me in the eye and said, “This will eventually kill you.” Today, it’s completely gone. And any trace of side effects. There is no damage whatsoever. Our loving God heals the mind, the soul (which includes the mind, the will, and the emotions), and all parts of the body. Nothing is exempt.

“He restoreth my soul:” (Psalm 23:3)

Faith is not a problem. It is our trust in God to do whatever. And we trust because we know He loves. He is love (1 John 4:8). We’ve made faith complicated, inserting doubt. We’ve made healing complicated, teaching Satan. We’ve made receiving complicated. It isn’t. It’s as simple as asking and expecting. Content, knowing our Father hears and provides, content in the great love for us He shows daily, we don’t worry about the fulfillment of our prayers at all.

It’s the waiting that gets us. What should be a time of intimacy, God and I “like this”, fingers twisted, becomes “what if this” and “what if that”. There is no WHAT IF with Him. None. Tell yourself this on repeat, and with every doubt, with every moment of frustration or sadness, encourage yourself. The apostle Paul gave this instruction to Timothy, who was like a son to him. “Remember the gift of God upon you,” he said, “and ‘stir it up.’ Remember who God is in you, that He is not fear (2 Timothy 1:5-7).” We need to remember this. And grow. Because the disciples feared the image of Jesus walking on water. Though He was there to rescue, they cried out. He spoke to the strength of their faith afterward, saying, “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith (Matthew 8:26)?”. Notice, He spoke not to the SIZE of it, for all men are given all of faith they need (Romans 12:3). Faith’s name is Jesus, and we have Him 100%. Instead, it is the exercise, the use of faith, that strengthens us.

We are given the strength to endure, and the Father promises us joy in that time (Romans 15:3). We don’t have to wait in misery. Here’s one thing I’ve learned well – God never abandons us, and He is always in control. Evil is not in control any longer. Jesus destroyed it (2 Timothy 1:10, Hebrews 2:14;1 John 3:8). Though sometimes evil grandstands, inflating itself in our vision and our hearing, God never turns loose of being God. I like to say He’s letting evil look stupid. Because He knows what He’s poured into us and how strong He’s made us to withstand it. Here is where we must focus and stand firm. Though the noise of what we’re up against seems loud, God has not left us, His plan is still active, and the end result assured. Even if we mess up along the way He is forgiveness and knows the intent of our hearts and, perhaps greatest of all, our fortitude.

“God knows I can handle this,” I tell myself,f then forge ahead however I can right then. Accepting I’m imperfect and God knows this, He knows all about me, removes any guilt that how I’m acting is sin in His eyes. It isn’t. I’m in a difficult place, and He knows that. He’s set out the ending of it, and I choose to trust Him. His will is victory.

“As you trust in God, may your fear be expelled and your hearts filled with joy and peace, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may be continually filled with hope.” (Romans 15:13, Remedy)
