| "God is my only solution." |
THERE IS a perspective that Christ gives. He faced the cross, aware of its sorrows, yet said, “I came into the world for this purpose (John 12:27, EasyEnglish).” He knew the Father through the Spirit would get Him through it. Hebrews 12:2 says Jesus endured the cross, despising the shame, because His eyes were on the joy of what He accomplished. We’d like God to “get us out of” the difficult places, but maybe He wants us to see them as not difficult.
Minister Denise Renner, wife of Minister Rick Renner, asked, “Is your faith interrupting your problem?” This stirs me. Have I laid back, accepting it, or am I too busy fighting to see God is the solution? Maybe, just maybe, my trust in God’s care for me should interrupt the whole mess and get me off the track of doom-and-gloom.
I’m tired of doom-and-gloom, tired of hurting, tired of struggling to be happy, and to get over a dozen other habits I’ve formed living life, this many years. God is my only solution. I must “stir myself up” today (2 Timothy 1:6) and remind myself, “What is Christ’s perspective, Suzanne? How does He see this?” Frankly, I don’t know. Which takes me to another word from an excellent minister.
Minister Benny Hinn says, “The Scripture gives you the power to say no to sin,” that we must be in it daily. I cannot agree more.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)
“The secret to real peace and contentment is an abiding trust in Christ—realizing that my strength comes from him; and through the peace, strength, wisdom and perspective that Christ gives me, I can handle whatever happens.” (Philippians 4:13, Remedy)
