Inside-Outside

"He cannot misunderstand you."

THERE ARE people like me who dislike crowds and noise and being forced into public arenas, who would rather stay home than go to church. I am not speaking against attending church. But there is an extroverted side of it that sends me away many times. Much of what popular ministers and prophets have done that was “in the Spirit” in that day disagrees with me. Even testimonies, being used for applause. What God has done is so much sweeter when kept private, between the one healed and their family. I know testimonies are meant to encourage others, but over time, they’ve created noise. Loud people want to be loud and try to condemn others for being soft. People who like involvement try to make those who’d rather be alone, be involved.

The truth is, God loves you just how you are. Don’t change.

The truth is, He isn’t returning to what was done yesterday, though some persist in it. The truth is, He’d rather have someone minister His Word and His healing Presence, out of season, to use a churchism, than for there to be no ministry at all. But we ought to know the difference. We ought to hear Him speaking and it not be guesswork, like so many are doing. God is not three words and a pile of reasoning. He speaks in sentences, in your language. Even greater, He speaks in His language and invites you to join in.

Here is where some people shut the cameras off. But speaking “in tongues” or speaking “in the Spirit”, as it’s called, is a blessing of God and not something to be feared. There are two pictures of it which are helpful. Back in World War II, they used code talkers to send messages behind the lines. I am not trying to put us back in a war. Jesus won the war. We are called to rest, to be at peace. But those messages were not in any language the adversary could read. Our heavenly language is just like that. Greater still, it is perfect, and we can never speak by mistake. The Holy Spirit is the Creator of it, and Romans 8:27 tells us He speaks the will of God directly to God. I know that wording can be misunderstood. After all, He is God. But it means He speaks to the Father and the Son, and They hear, and They answer. The next verse tells us all things God does for us are good and bring good results.

“And we know that in all things, at all times, in all circumstances, God works for the good of his creation and for the good of all who love him. Those who have accepted God’s call—to work with him according to his purpose—experience the good things that God has for them.” (Romans 8:28, Remedy)

The other picture is one of completeness. If it’s cold outside, you need warm pants and a warm shirt, but you also need a warm jacket. You must be warm INSIDE and warm OUTSIDE. Salvation makes us warm inside. The Holy Spirit recreates our spirit man, brand new, and He comes to LIVE IN us (Romans 10:9). But He wants us to walk with Him through life and give Him full control.

There are things He will do to help us if we will invite Him to come UPON us. He is polite. He will only come UPON us if we ask. Speaking in God’s language is evidence that He has come UPON us. And it is to our benefit. He is to our benefit. Speaking God’s language ties us even closer to Him. I had a realization of this from the final phrase in Philippians 4:5. The Remedy Translation says, “Live reasonably, revealing goodness and gentleness in everything you do, FOR THE LORD IS VERY NEAR.” For He is near.

He is GOD WITH US, Emmanuel (Matthew 1:23). He wants to be our everything. He wants us to trust Him in all things. This is what the King James Version calls faith. Faith is simply how much you trust Him, and the Spirit hungers for our trust with spiritual things. To be “baptized” in Him means to give Him everything. It must be separated from fear because He is not the spirit of fear, 2 Timothy 1:7. What frightens you comes from the human mind. He is peace and safety always, and He will bring you comfort in this. Just speak to Him of your fear and allow Him to work, then invite Him to come in His fullness. He knows you intimately, every word you’ve spoken, every thought you’d had, and the reasons for them (Hebrews 4:12). He cannot misunderstand you, but I have learned of myself that I easily misunderstand me. I’m relieved He knows what I do not, and being frank, without having a heavenly language, I’d be dead. It rescued me from extreme darkness. My mental turmoil was gone when I thought upon it, knowing He only spoke truth.

He calls all of us to come up higher. This is a church language expression that means spiritual growth and new understanding. We must move from being a child to being a mature adult. Now, not losing our childlikeness. He adores that. But to refuse to grow will keep us from wonderful things. Below is a sermon by Minister Lance Wallnau where he speaks of growth in the Spirit through prayer in the Spirit. I encourage you to watch it and to ask questions. The Spirit loves questions, even angry ones. He is our Comforter (John 14:16). Then embrace Him and allow Him access to your OUTSIDE as well as your INSIDE. Put on your Spirit coat.

The Signet Ring, Lance Wallnau

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” (Mark 16:17)

“In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life—" (1 Peter 2:2 TPT)
