East And West

"You don't know Him."

“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)

EXPOSING IT isn’t God. Burying it is. God hasn’t called us as judges, to pick the mote out of each other’s eyes. He’s told us to make peace (Matthew 5:9). Love covers a multitude of sins, the Scripture says (1 Peter 4:8). Yet we latch onto the offense and rearrange God’s Word to allow us to speak out. There is no allowance in His eyes.

“But Jesus corrected the Pharisees.” Jesus died for them. Many were saved by His shed blood. “But Paul said when someone doesn’t repent we’re supposed to …” Just stop. Stop telling other men’s sins to the church. Stop acting like the world.

You don’t know Him. You don’t know Jesus at all. Nor the Father. Nor the heart of the Spirit. He’s the most sensitive because He cares for our needs. Small ones like sparrows. Big ones like blue whales. He knows devils by name. You heard me. He knows what they were and every word they’ve spoken since they sinned.

Stop grieving the Father. Mourn for sin (Matthew 5:4). Mourn for it like He did Jerusalem. Don’t use it as a banner.

There on the cross hung a convicted thief. He’d committed a crime so heinous they crucified him. All he said was “Remember me” and Jesus replied, “Today you will be with me in Paradise.” He didn’t make full detailed repentance. He didn’t learn the rules of Law first. He didn’t join the church. Yet he’s in heaven.

That should be our heart. That I read what you wrote on social media tells me this vividly. Take it down, say your sorry, and worship. Let God fix you. Then you pray for them with His heart, out of His nature, and not yours.

“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shall thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
