| "The more I speak His will over me, the less anything else matters." |
GOD HAS PROVIDED the perfect ending. To life. He is our complete salvation. To this earth. He will remake her, brand new. There will be no death nor sorrow (Revelation 21:4). To our time here. We can live until we are satisfied and go home to heaven in joy and peace (Psalm 91:16). Moses is our example. He lived 120 years and died with clear eyesight and strength in his body.
“And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.” (Deuteronomy 34:7)
We don’t need to struggle with our health at all. We must stop planning to struggle with our health. Nothing unplanned need sneak up on you; nothing age-related need cause problems. God is so much bigger, so merciful to all we will ever face. We must trust Him and that means we stop not trusting Him. The first sign we don’t is our talk. What are you saying? I’ve done enough almost dying. All I confess is health, peace, rest, my needs met, my loved ones joyful. And more specific things that are between me and God. He knows my thoughts. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make (TPT).” Rather than rely on what I don’t know and don’t understand, knowing He knows me and my fears, I keep them in His gentle, loving hand. And refuse to think about them. When they come back up again, “Oh, what if …?” I close the door and say, “NO. There will be no what ifs.”
“Though old, they stay healthy and bear much fruit; they retain their vitality and remain vibrant, proclaiming, ‘The Lord is perfect and righteous; he is my source of life, health, and happiness, and there is nothing evil in him.’” (Psalm 92:14-15, Remedy)
“(They shall be granted a plentiful old age; and they shall be strong, and vigorous/and they shall be prosperous, and flourishing.)” (Psalm 92:15, WYC)
What I can’t see today, what bothers me about the future, will become His vision of it instead of mine, with practice. The more I speak His will over me, the less anything else matters. The less of other things, failures, accidents, sicknesses, I see. I don’t need to become a vocal billboard, telling every passerby; people will see how healthy and strong I am. But when conversation turns to complaining, I also don’t join in. This is what God wants of us from the moment of salvation – that we would be different people. Unworried, unbothered, calm and unafraid, always trusting Him. We should be so different that it makes people ask why.
“I give up everything this world has to offer so that I might be with Christ and be recreated in Christlike character—not from my own efforts or attempts to cure myself, not by observing some code, but by true re-creation of mind, heart and character that God accomplishes when we trust him. And this trust is established by the evidence of God’s supreme trustworthiness provided by Christ.” (Philippians 3:8-9, Remedy)
