| "But Jesus came because God SO LOVED the world." |
THERE IS NO judgment in heaven. No one who goes there at any age and for whatever reason is condemned for how they died. Jesus is love so deep, so high, and so wide that it consumes all who enter it and many who aren’t looking for it. To say He would welcome anyone into heaven with judgment is to not know Him.
There is understanding in heaven, but not judgment. What you did not know on the earth that affected your behavior, you will know there. You will see yourself clearly. But it does not come with condemnation (John 3:17;Romans 8:1). Jesus came to bring heaven’s will to earth (Matthew 6:10). He came, to His own hurt, to restore honor to us. His Life gives us Life and healing and health with all of our needs being met.
The nature of God is “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).”
He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12), meaning we will never meet them again. Knowing the size of God’s forgiveness and the completeness of it, knowing “the breadth, and length, and depth, and height” of God’s love (Ephesians 3:18), and looking upon the face of Jesus, we would never make such a comment about judgment in heaven. But the Word of God gives us more proof.
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” (Ephesians 3:17-19)
James 1:13 says, “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.” It goes on to say temptation comes when we are drawn away from the things of God by lust. Lust is inordinate desire for wrong things. God doesn’t hold hands with darkness. He is Light. There’s no darkness in Him (1 John 1:5). What some have labeled “judgment” in the guise of discipline is hate. But Jesus came because God SO LOVED the world (John 3:16). A parent disciplines because they LOVE their son or daughter, and true discipline shows correction, NOT condemnation.
Condemnation gives no place of recovery. It weighs down. But God lifted up and carried off our sins (Isaiah 53:4).
“For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.” (Proverbs 3:12)
There is much about heaven we do not know. There is much the Spirit would tell those who will treasure it. Just as the apostle John was given Revelation of it, He longs to share its glories with us. In fact, His heart is for us to live in heavenly places while on the earth (Ephesians 1:3). As incredible proof, we have Enoch who got so close to Jehovah that He took Him to heaven. The same with the prophet Elijah (2 Kings 2:11). We act like these were one-and-done happenings, but God has not changed. If anything, He’s become even more generous and kind. To know Him is to trust Him, especially with things unknown or difficult to comprehend. He knows our shortcomings and never uses them against those He loves. Instead, He is our joy and peace.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” (Ephesians 1:3)
“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” (Hebrews 11:5)
