Perfected Humanity

"Jesus is perfected humanity."

GOD DID NOT make the human body fragile. Sin brought sickness, and sickness brought death. The body as made in the beginning was filled with the life of God and in complete union with God. The Spirit of God who comes to live in us at salvation lived in Adam and was upon him. After Adam and Eve sinned, they saw themselves, realized they were naked, and hid. God did not ask them why they hid out of His ignorance. He knew why, and He knew when it had happened. But confession is made unto salvation, and Adam’s admission was his (Romans 10:10).

The words of warning which followed their admission were just that, warnings. They were told what sin had caused. They are not curses spoken by God, nor God’s retribution against them for sinning. God, who is love, has always been love (1 John 4:8). The depth and wholeness of love is only found in God and through Christ. Jesus is our example of God’s desire for the human body and the human mind (our reasoning). We see some of God’s heart in Adam; he named all of the animals God created (Genesis 2:19). This could only have been done through the Holy Spirit. But look at Jesus who hung on the cross, an extremely painful death. Yet He was able to accomplish the Father’s will in it, with complete peace and mental clarity. A man on a cross of that nature, having also been flogged, would not be speaking, much less shouting so that it could be heard (Matthew 27:46). And Jesus, having no sin in Him, had to release His spirit into the Father’s hands in order to even die. For Satan had nothing in Him (Jesus’ words). (Luke 23:46; John 14:30).

Jesus is perfected humanity. Philippians 3:21 says He has a “glorious body.” But He has no blood. That was shed on Calvary. Instead, the Spirit of God fills His veins. This was seen by Minister Jesse Duplantis in his visit to heaven. My own grandfather had a visit before his death and described Jesus as beautiful. Both pictures fit with the Scriptures. I particularly like the Remedy translation of John’s Revelation, chapter 1. What a magnificent picture of the One who we adore. But we must know His mental reasoning, the use of His brain, and His physical structure are of such strength that they can hold the Spirit without measure (John 3:34). Also, He knows all those who are saved, every single person by name, and being the Word of God, stated in John 1:1, He can separate their soul from spirit and joints from marrow. He knows the thoughts and intents of their heart (Hebrews 4:12). Yes, He is God, but He is the only perfected human.

“When I turned to see the source of the voice that was speaking to me, I first saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was one who appeared to be human, just like a Son of Man. He was wearing a robe flowing down to his feet and had a golden breastplate on his chest; his hair was brilliant white, like snow, and his eyes shone brightly like a fire. His feet glowed like metal in a furnace, and his voice resounded with energy like a roaring river. He held seven stars in his right hand, and the words coming from his mouth were the sharp double-edged sword of truth. His face radiated energy like the sun shining at midday.” (Revelation 1:12-16, Remedy)

He has made us this promise, though. We will be made like Him. We read these words in Romans 8:17, “Because we are God's children, we also will one day receive WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED US (UDB).” It continues in Verse 23, “Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies (NET).” I love the New English Bible translation of this verse, which says, “We wait for God to … set our whole body free.”

Philippians 3:21 states, “[CHRIST] SHALL CHANGE OUR VILE BODY, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body.” Jesus’ death was the fulfillment of God’s promises made to Abraham. Just as Abraham offered Isaac, the Father offered His Son as the ram caught in the thicket. Jesus’ death also fulfilled the Old Covenant Law (Matthew 5:17). What men strived to do through their own actions was meant to point their vision toward the coming of Christ. For salvation is only by grace. But Jesus’ Resurrection makes us a promise, as well. Whereas His death promised us the end of death and the defeat of the anti-righteous one, the devil, Jesus’ Resurrection, His return to life, is God’s promise of our bodies and minds being made whole just like His.

There is no death in heaven, no decay, no sickness and disease, genetic deformity, or mental deficiency. Here we remember the words of the prayer Jesus gave to His disciples. “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).” Jesus is the Father’s will done on earth. He brought God’s life to us. As the gift of heaven, yet, but even greater, eternal life today – physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Praying what is commonly called “The Lord’s Prayer’ is a beautiful reminder of God’s will for mankind, but we must know all of it came to pass in Jesus. His body was designed to come into being before God ever created the earth (1 Peter 1:20). Man was then made in Jesus’ image and after His likeness. How moving that is! He became like us because we were made like Him. And He died as a man to do the Father will, the Father’s plan of salvation, which He set in place before the foundation of the earth, did not fail, but He rose to make us the promise of infinite life. We can be healed today and walk in health all the days of our life. We can be strong to do and accomplish well all that we are given to do. We walk in His wisdom, His endurance, and His stamina. Our gaze continually on Him, seeing in His glorious splendor all that God can accomplish when we trust Him.

“Immediately the Spirit filled me, and my mind was opened; and before me was a throne in heaven with a person sitting on it. The one who sat on the throne shimmered with dazzling brilliance, like polished stones in the sun: fiery reds at the base and resplendent hues of green surrounding the throne … The one on the throne was the source of immeasurable power, greater than lightning and rolling thunder. And the Spirit of God was present before the throne, represented by seven blazing lights.” (Revelation 4:2-3, 5 Remedy)
