God Speaks

"If the enemy can breathe a thought in your ear, so can God (or how much more can God.)"

“If the enemy can breathe a thought in your ear, so can God (or how much more can God.)”

HAD THIS REALIZATION driving to church today. It makes me ask this question—How else would He communicate with those who are spiritually dead? He is not limited by salvation.

He caused Caiaphas the High Priest to prophesy (John 11:50). There was no salvation yet, and Caiaphas hated Jesus. He believed his words were harmful and could not see they fulfilled prophecy. The Spirit caused a donkey to speak in warning when the animal saw an angel guarding the way straight ahead (Numbers 22:28). Donkeys can’t be saved (though all life is valued in heaven, after death) and they can’t speak words.

[Sidenote: Not to mention the plagues of Egypt (lice, frogs, locusts, etc.) and the miles and miles of quail which suddenly appeared for the Israelites in the wilderness. Nor Peter’s boat full of fish, twice. God brought or created those animals in such numbers.]

The Spirit of God is never not informed, for that matter. He hears (and has heard) every conversation by every being, human, animal, or spiritual (light or darkness) that has ever existed. He created all life. The angels who fell when Satan tried to take over God’s throne (not possible, by the way), He knows them by name and what happened to them.

But point is, regardless of who we are and if we believe in God or not, He can speak to us. He always has a way to speak to us. We limit His image in us with our lack of understanding. I heard a minister say when we all get to heaven, we will be surprised by what God has done that we weren’t aware of. I have come to learn this personally, and just knowing it has opened up life in a beautiful way.

"He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?" (Psalms 94:10)

He is always working, always adept, always precise.
I read the first eight chapters of the book of Numbers recently, not focusing on the figures, and realized they paint the image of the cross and the New Covenant. The numbers do serve a purpose. Mankind cannot argue things did not happen when there is such an exact count. They also show the growth of the population of Israel. But how amazing that God is so specific in His design of the tabernacle worship. There is the hint of John the Baptist’s work in the work of Moses, a picture of Jesus in the design of the sacrifices offered, and another in the restrictions of the Nazarite.

That they are eight chapters is amazing. Day 8 is the first day of the week. On Day 8, Jesus was seen alive.

THIS➤We must change our perspective and see what we can’t see as God making time work FOR US and situations turn around IN OUR FAVOR and people’s hearts SEE TRUTH so that they either work FOR US or are moved out of the way of what God wants to do in us and through us. We must mature to the point we are aware of Him without needed a constant stream of talk.

With God nothing is impossible, means with God nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). He has done the most amazing work on my behalf so that I marvel at it. He has done the most marvelous work for my friends’ lives and in the lives of their children so that I am beyond grateful for it. I cannot begin to stress enough how kind and compassionate and gentle He is, nor how strong and unbendable He can be.

We should know Him to the same extent we know our spouse or sibling or best friend. I can tell you what my husband will say in any situation. That is my heart for the Savior as well. And to flow in the Spirit so that I am never at a loss and uninformed but am instead seated beside Him seeing from His point-of-view, from the Father’s perspective, who is not the cruel, unkind God men have painted from the Old Covenant. That is a wrong image.

It takes our study and meditation on His character to know the truth of Him. We must seek Him in order to find Him.

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (John 14:16-17)

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (John 17:21-23)
