The Armor of God & Fruit of the Spirit

"Your armor is only donned with your words."

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians 6:13-18)

TRUTH upholds all things. RIGHTEOUSNESS (justice) stands upon truth.

SALVATION changes your thinking to God’s way of thinking. Thinking like Him changes your speech. Salvation is God’s nature formed within because of our new right-standing (righteousness) position in His presence which displays only truth.

God’s thinking produces only PEACE. It furthers peace, multiplying peace, urging others to peace. We become desirous that you also have God’s peace from salvation. Salvation which is produced by peace, peace with God, and which produces peace toward others. It becomes our lifestyle, how we react, how we walk, and is dependent upon the justice God has given based upon the truth of His forgiveness.

What we say both defends us and protects us. Our words spoken from righteousness and peace, based upon truth, cannot be refuted. They are AS A SWORD cutting aside all deception and false rule of law which would take us out of peace and away from truth. We know who we are, so we speak boldly from confidence (faith) in God’s work in us.

Our FAITH in God prevents us from being swayed by the words of the enemy, through people, through situations, or mental reasonings. We know truth and so stand in confidence against what is not truth. Our confidence prevents us from being taken. We have no fear or worry about the future or what faces us in the present. We know who God is in us and that His peace is greater than anything that would come against us.

Our confidence propels us into PRAYER, for ourselves and for others. We pray from a place of truth, truth which stands upon victory won by Jesus Christ. In Christ, we are victorious, full of His strength, full of God’s peace, and overflowing in His nature in our words and actions. We seek the good of others even if that requires humbling of ourselves because God honors humility with success and lifts up the humble to a place of reward. We seek not the reward but the results of our humility which are displayed to us in FRUITS grown through the power of the Spirit within us and upon us.

All we are is resident with God's life, overflowing to us and from us.

Your armor is only donned with your words. To change how you are, you must say who you are. To say who you are, you must know what God has done in you. State who you are. State how you are. State how you are not any longer and what you will not do. This will clarify it in your vision.

I am peaceful. I react in peace. I react with peace. I do not react in fear or worry. I do not react in strife or debate. I do not react in criticism or hatred.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

God’s LOVE is the foundation of the kingdom of God, the truth upon which it stands. JOY is the atmosphere of His kingdom. PEACE is our behavior, how we respond to anything. LONGSUFFERING is the fortitude given to always endure to victory. GENTLENESS is how we react. It is our lifestyle. We are not harsh or abusive. GOODNESS is our nature, for God is good and doeth good (Psalm 119:68). FAITH is our choice of action. It is our trust in God's nature to be faithful. As He is faithful, so are we. MEEKNESS is our mindset. We choose others over ourselves as our Savior did upon the cross. TEMPERANCE (self-control) is the way of the Spirit within us. We are well controlled, knowing how to react (respond) at all times.
