THERE IS SPACE neither on the left or right for any opinion other than God’s Word. Salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ. Of governments. Of nations. Of the whole earth. Of individual people. We must think corporately as well as personally. God came to earth as man to save Gentiles as well as Jews, Romans as well as Egyptians, Esau and also Jacob. There is no one exempted from the redemption He provided. On the cross, He forgave a thief who, moments earlier, had cursed Him. Nothing more was required but in that he called Jesus Lord.
There are two sides to this nation, or it would seem so. But the truth is, there is only one. God’s. God has said He will save her, so He will save her. It’s in the mouths of His prophets. It’s in His promise to our founders who called on Him, years ago. It’s in His Word. There has been much repentance, and God is merciful. He has said repentance brings salvation, so we look for salvation. And stop speaking doubt. The Word of God says we will have whatever we believe in our hearts and say with our mouths. So what are we saying? What He has promised us, or the devil’s threats?
His threats are not more powerful than God’s Spirit. The devil is a defeated foe. We have the authority (exousia) over him, and the Spirit is the power (dunamis) to fulfill it. There is nothing to lose unless we forfeit the promise by listening to the devil. Just after the 2020 election, pre-COVID, I had a vision of Jesus, dressed as King with a crown and a scepter, seated on a throne carved out of the stones atop Mount Rushmore. I have not doubted His will for this nation since then. Nothing can shake it from me. God is so much greater than all the work of the enemy.
“Your faithfulness extends to every generation, like the earth you created; it endures by your decree, for everything serves your plans.” (Psalm 119:90-91 TLB)
