"No one who comes to Him, though they have fallen, though they are fearful, though they haven't paid their 10%, no one who approaches in any desperation will ever be turned away." |
THERE ARE CERTAIN RULES IN SCRIPTURE. Tithing. Faith. Authority. Holiness. And many more. These truths hold great value and should be studied and understood. But God is not a God of a rule system anymore. He sent Jesus to fulfill the Covenant Rule System. It teaches us many lessons. We can learn well who our Savior is and see in its stories the Father and the Holy Spirit and find a comparison with God’s New Covenant of grace. But Jesus rose to claim victory over the enemy's condemnation and to release abundant life and everlasting forgiveness.
Our wonderful heavenly Father asks His children to live humbly and generously. He asks us to love all men, our friends and our enemies. He asks us to show compassion and mercy toward others. We should tithe as is instructed in the Word of God. We should walk by faith and learn to use God’s authority. We must know God is Holy and show Him reverence. But He is love, the very Source of it, and He is blessing, although we don't deserve it.
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37)
No one who comes to Him, though they have fallen, though they are fearful, though they haven't paid their 10%, no one who approaches in any desperation will ever be turned away. No one who lacks anything will He refuse but will supply their need. He disciplines His children and corrects our behavior, we are to mature in God, but even when we’re not quite where we need to be, our God will give and give.
We do not use His goodness as an excuse to stay how we are. But neither do we use doctrinal rules to push people aside. Condemnation is always from the devil, no matter whose voice speaks it. Overlooking one another's faults, walking that extra mile, and often, not saying what we think, are from the One loved us despite our faults and died anyway, so that all men who ask Him for anything that is in His nature could have everything He rose again to give them.
“For from God’s perspective, all humanity is infected with the same illness of distrust and selfishness, and the entire human race is dying and in need of the same Remedy; and God mercifully offers full healing and restoration to all who trust him.” (Romans 11:32 Remedy)
