HOW TO BE HEALED
Step 1. Decide you will not tolerate sickness, injury, or infirmity in your body of any type and in any manner at any age for any reason.
Step 2. Decide Jesus is your Healer, and God is not the author of sickness. These must be firm foundations based on the Word of God placed in your heart. Know that God is merciful where you have some disbelief. He has healed me more than once of things I did not ask Him to heal me of. He did it anyway. But I knew without any doubt, His desire was to heal.
Step 3. Develop your relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Faith is the result of their love for you and your love for them. Spend time with them in worship. In God’s Presence is healing, peace, and restoration. In God’s Presence, we hear them speaking and grow in our awareness of them.
Step 4. Cast all your cares at their feet. Determine to never worry about your healing. Don’t worry about how it will come or when it will come but know that it will come. And anytime the enemy tries to get you to pick the cares back up again or any time you pick them back up again, lay them back down, repent, and don’t think on it anymore.
Step 5. Set aside anything that takes away from the fullness of God. If it’s TV, then stop watching. If it’s books you’re reading, then stop reading them. If it’s extracurricular activities, then pare them back. Determine to let go of everything that He has asked you to let go of. Time with Him is so much better. Pray for hunger for Him, and He will grant it.
Step 6. Go and do and live and love and laugh and rejoice and study and work and be who you are. As much as possible, don’t let what you can’t do hold you back from life. Live each day to its fullest. This is the action of faith.
Step 7. Watch your words. Don’t confess the sickness. Don’t say you will always be this way, or you can’t get rid of this. If you can’t say the right thing, then say no-thing. Pray the Word over your tongue. “Set a watch before my mouth, O Lord. Keep the door of my lips.” Don’t tell everybody. Tell people who will believe with you and pray for you, and even if your illness is obvious, don’t talk about it. Our words carry power.
Step 8. Live in hope. Faith comes by hope. Hope constantly sees the end result. The Word says, “Faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12).” This means the moment will come when you inherit what you are believing God for. And when hopelessness bites at you, recognize it as the devil, and do whatever encourages you to keep your focus on Jesus. Don’t let people discourage you. They are not in your shoes. But also, do not see this as a point of resentment against them. Anger and bitterness solve nothing but will, in fact, hold you back.
Step 9. Don’t look behind. Not in regret, not in comparison, not in guilt or condemnation (God never condemns. That is the devil.) When you need to see how far you’ve come, God will show you.
Step 10. Never close the door on the supernatural but study the Word to know what is God speaking and what isn’t, so that you are not led off on a rabbit trail. There is plenty of deception in the world. Know the Truth, lean on the Spirit of God for wisdom, and be set free.
Step 11. REJOICE! God is still on the throne. Jesus is alive!! The Holy Spirit is in you. The Word of God is truth! Never stop rejoicing in who He is! Rejoice over every victory, no matter how small.
Step 12. Live, breathe, eat, and sleep in peace. God is the God of peace. He is the Source of love and joy. So everything we go through can be done in peace, love, and joy. Everything. The enemy comes to steal our peace. Jesus came to restore it. Determine to react in peace to people, circumstances, pain, bad news, and anything else that comes against you. Become a person of peace, where that is your every thought and movement. Jesus gave you His peace, when He was facing the cross. Be like Jesus.
“Everything good, healthy and beneficial originates in heaven and comes down from the Father who created the universe. He is always good and will never alter his methods of love. He does not waver, and he is certainly not the source of darkness and death! He is the source of life, and he chose to give us new life through Jesus—the true expression of God—that we might be the masterpieces of all his creation.” (James 1:17-18)
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24 Remedy)
