The Half Has Not Been Told

"No building. No tabernacle. No altar. It all symbolized you, but you had none of it."

FIRST, IT WAS AN ALTAR made of natural stones, built in the middle of nowhere. Then, it was a tabernacle, made of curtains and gold, a traveling place of sacrifice and worship. It grew into a temple, so fine and rich, that men cried when it was gone. And a temple that followed, built by a foreign king.

But you came without all that. You had not even clothes.

No building. No tabernacle. No altar. It all symbolized you, but you had none of it. No pomp and circumstance. Instead, you had authority. YOU BROUGHT AUTHORITY TO EARTH from a kingdom not made with hands, invisible to those on earth. And you lived and you walked, and you died without a building, without ceremony and dedication, or incense.

And you rose and men continued erecting edifices. Works of stone and glass and steel placed wherever something biblical might have happened. On every corner of every possible site, in every city, and they put priests in them, in fine clothing. Now, with suits or not with suits. With screens and lights and smoke. But it was never about the million-dollar building. We erected one you never lived in as a man and keep erecting them today. We need to gather. We need to worship. But when you return it will not be to erect a building.

We walk by faith in what we cannot see that you did not bring to earth. We believe in heaven and gold streets and pearly gates and who knows what else grandeur. There is nothing lacking. We believe after death there is such richness, mansions you’ve prepared for us. BUT YOU WILL RETURN IN AUTHORITY, to gather those who were saved by you, without ceremonies, without rule-keeping, but with words which altered time and space and all that is unseen.

You will return to show yourself as King. But the visual is the nth part of everything.

We long to see you, Lord. We long to look upon your face, but if the God who came to earth, needed nothing but a manger, and that one, He did not own, then the people who He’s given His salvation, need only Truth He’s spoken, which words hold within them what is needed to alter everything when they believe.

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 AMP)
