Joyously Beautifully Righteous

"You are no longer unrighteous but joyously, beautifully righteous."

RIGHTEOUSNESS is not of the skin, not of the clothing, not of obedient behaviors. Righteousness is of the heart. It is cleanliness, holiness, on the inside.

It is not self-exacted, not achieved by our personal works, nor by any actions of theology. It is given by grace. It is accepted based on grace alone, and when accepted, it must be treasured.

It makes a life-change in the one made righteous. You are no longer unrighteous, but joyously, beautifully righteous. You are no longer ungodly, no longer seen with your sins, no longer unholy and unclean. You are seen through the blood of Jesus Christ. The Father looks at you, sees His Son, and His righteousness.

Righteousness is a place of standing. A man of righteousness stands in a place of moral godliness and integrity given only by God. It is modeled by meekness and humility of character, by generosity and wisdom.

The strength of a righteous man comes from the God of righteousness and his hunger for the Word of righteousness and the righteous Spirit of God. It comes from relationship.

Meekness is not weakness. Righteousness is not weak but gentle. Not arrogant but full of the nature of the love of God, whose heart of mercy SO LOVED mankind to the extent He would die for them. But who, in that same action, defeated the enemy and rose victorious, crowned King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The eternal God, the righteous God, through Jesus Christ, has made us righteous. We must act like it.

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” (Titus 3:5)

“… God is transforming each one of you into the Holy of Holies, his dwelling place, through the power of the Holy Spirit living in you!” (Ephesians 2:22 TPT)

“Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.“ (Leviticus 19:35)
