Son Of The King

In the children's story, The Lion King, there is a song with a chorus that sounds like gibberish, but in fact, the words which Timon and Pumba (warthog and meerkat) sing is actually "Uyimbube," Zulu for "You are a lion."*

This is significant because in the plot of the film, a young lion, Simba, has his inheritance (birthright) stolen in a coup staged by his wicked uncle. He is supposed to be King of the Pride but when evil takes over, he runs away in fear, and it looks like things will never be the same again. That is, until he realizes WHO HE IS, the SON OF THE KING, and he rises up to defeat the enemy.

Know this - He was a lion all along, and the SON OF THE KING from birth, but needed to grow up and act like it.

We are children of the King of Kings, given authority over the evil that is trying to destroy our birthright. It looks like things will never be the same, but GOD SAYS RISE UP and TAKE YOUR PLACE as sons of the King.

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." (Revelation 19:11-16 KJV)

"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience." (1 Timothy 1:17-19 KJV)
